# Running nextflow pipelines with docker in studios instance

Hi all,

I’m looking at using data studios for doing a full test run of a nextflow pipeline and being able to watch in real time how resources are utilised in a linux environment.

I’m struggling to figure out how to install and use Docker, however - can anyone provide any insights? Alternatively, is there some better way of doing this in the Seqera ecosystem?

Would appreciate any advice!

Hi @mbeavitt,

Thanks for your question. This functionality is called “Docker-in-Docker”, or “Docker-inside-Docker” (DinD) and is a technique to run Docker containers inside another Docker container. There’s an [existing Studios feature request](https://feedback.seqera.io/feature-requests/p/support-to-run-docker-inside-of-a-studio-vs-code-for-nextflow-development) for this that is currently being evaluated. Please upvote the feature request if you are interested in getting notifications on when this is released.
