I am about to start the first course Hello Nextflow and plan to use Github codespace as my environment; however, when I click to Github codespace from the section “Launching your GitHub Codespace¶” I saw this page below:
Is this problem on my personal Github? I did not use the same email for this Github for registration to this course, so I am not sure if that cause a problem?
When I went to Github page for this training; it was also not possible to create one (with slightly different message: You don’t have any codespaces with this repository checked out)
Hi @pannareeb , we occasionally see this error with people whose github account is attached to an organization (eg your employer). In that case it’s usually possible to get around the problem by using a personal github account, for example one you create with a personal email address.
You’ll need to log into Github with your personal account first, then relaunch the codespace from the training portal. Make sure to use one of the buttons on the training website (eg from the course’s Getting Started page), not directly from the github repository. Let me know if that still doesn’t work.
