Split nextflow_schema.json into several files

I am trying to split the nextflow_schema.json file into several files to make them easier to maintain, and to be able to share them across several pipelines? When I try doing something along these lines

    "allOf": [
        {
            "$ref": "file:shared_schema.json#reference_genome_options"
        },
        ...
    ]

It seems to work when running locally, but in Seqera Platform the options contained in the other file don’t show up on the launch page. Is what i’m trying to do supported?

No I’m afraid that it’s not. In fact it’s support when running locally is probably accidental, I’ve not heard of anyone doing this before.

Feel free to put in a feature request for this at feedback.seqera.io for support in Seqera Platform. There’s also a meta-issue in nf-core/tools to track support for new schema features in the nf-core ecosystem, so it could be good to create a new issue on nf-core/tools about this as well if you fancy:
