Tag search doesn't work with non-alphanumeric characters on Seqera platform

Bug fix needed from Seqera: Tag searching doesn’t work in task search bar if tag contains non-alphanumeric characters. If I have a tag of D123_CD4-T-cell_Immunocult_RNA-seq, then I can search using D123 but the full tag or even D123_ with the underscore, means no tasks are returned. I have multiple samples starting with D123 and 1000s of processes, so it makes it a very difficult task to find what I’m looking for

Hi @annajbott,

I’m not able to replicate this, searching in the task search bar with underscores works fine for me).

Can you provide any more details about where you’re running, or provide a screenshot etc?

Phil

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your reply.

I’m not sure what version of seqera platform I’m using, where do I find this information?

Best,
Anna

Hi Anna,

If you’re using the user interface (UI) — which it appears you are — you should be able to see the version at the footer of the page. See the red circle on the attached screenshot. Do you see something like that? If so, can you share what you see there? Cheers,

Andrew

Hi,
My version is Version 24.1.3_48960c7.

Thanks,
Anna

Hi @annajbott,

Ok, I guess you’re an Enterprise customer running your own installation then, rather than using Seqera Cloud. It’s possible that something has changed since the version that you’re using (though I don’t remember ever seeing the behaviour you’re describing). Either way, it’s best to take this thread into a support ticket in which case, where we can dig into your exact setup and give a better response: https://support.seqera.io

Thanks!

Phil
